JULY 18TH

DAY OF SERVICE

A day dedicated to volunteering, donating, and committing acts of kindness in Sinat Giwa’s name.

For the past two years the Giwa family has invited family, friends and those who wish to pay tribute to Sinat Giwa to participate in a Day of Service on July 18th. This year’s call to action asked as many people as possible to participate in any act of service—from volunteering at a local shelter or food bank, to organizing a small donation drive, or even just performing a random act of kindness. Every contribution helps honor Sinat’s memory and furthers our goal of creating a global impact.

A Letter for Sinat’s Day of Service

by Nikki Giwa

Dear Friends and Family,

As we approach July 18th, a date that forever changed our lives, I find myself reflecting on my beautiful sister, Sinat Giwa. On that day in 2023, we lost her to the aggressive form of cancer, Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma.

Sinat was not just my sister; she was a true gem, a radiant beacon of light whose love touched everyone she encountered. Her departure has left an immense void in our hearts, yet her spirit continues to ripple throughout the world.

As we navigate the heartbreak of losing such a remarkable woman, I invite you to pause and celebrate Sinat's incredible life. Let us remember her unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and the warmth she brought to our lives. Most importantly, let us honor her profound REACH, which inspires us to make a difference.

In her memory, I humbly ask you to join me in an act of service on July 18, 2025. Whether it’s saying a prayer for Sinat, donating a case of water to a local mosque, church, or synagogue, volunteering at a food pantry, cleaning up a park, assisting the elderly, or caring for children, every gesture counts!

Together, we can continue to extend Sinat’s Reach and spread the love she embodied.

Thank you for your support and for keeping her spirit alive.

With Love,

Nikki Giwa

Thank you to all who participated this year. From moments of reflection and prayer, to volunteering with Youth Organizations, or donating to help feed those in need.
